Well of course it will help sales. More advertisement.

No. If I'm not mistaken, Fire Emblem didn't see a big boost during the smash bros melee/brawl era? Awakening done great but that was 10 years after Marth and Roy were first featured in Smash.
Bayonetta 2 is doing exactly what it should be doing sales wise considering its platform and the audience on that platform. I don't think theres much which could have changed its fortunes on the Wii U.

I don't know how many there were, but I know that they were in stock for at least a month.
The very next day that Bayonetta was announced, gone.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I don't think it will, because the game has been out for some time already..

Meh, good enough.
I'm thinking no because although it worked with Fire Emblem, where they differ is Marth and Roy were built in characters. There was no incentive to buy them because they were pre-installed characters. With Bayonetta, most likely you would have an incentive to buy her or a desire to buy her. You have a choice unlike with Marth and Shulk.
