I personally think it will. I feel this is the stage Platinum needed to market Bayonetta properly. I'm glad it happened too. Its one of the best hack n slash games ever made.

It worked for Xenoblade Chronicles, it worked for Fire Emblem: Awakening. I think it'll work for Bayonetta 2 as well.

Maybe they could make a promotion like buy bayonetta 2 and get bayonetta in smash for free, or download bayonetta for smash and you get a 40% off of bayonetta 2.

I want to say yes but I'm gonna have to go with no, I'm afraid. The reason behind this is because she'll be paid DLC rather than being offered for free or included from the get go. I believe it will have some effect on Bayo2's performance but overall I'll say anyone wanting Bayonetta in Smash already has played and/or bought the games already.

Maybe it will move some copies here and there... but not a big deal.

My local area sold out on Bayonetta 2 almost immediately a day after Bayonetta's annouoncement, so I think that's a sign.

The more we talk about Bayonetta, the better for her it is. Her inclusion in Smash Bros won't magically sell millions of copy of the game but it's nice that she gets at least recognition.

The game is 16 euros on Amazon.de by the way, grab it if you understand German :)
