Resident Evil 5 deserves it more than anything else from that generation which was trash imo worst gen ever

OOT's gameplay is not great anymore. It was mind blowing then, but if it were released today, in it's original form, people would laugh. Timeless is something more akin to say, Tetris, Pac-man or SMB. Timeless games are games which when played decades later, are still just as enjoyable. Timeless is NOT something that we look back at in awe over it's revolutionary design (OOT is a great example of this). Those games aren't timeless. They're revolutionary. |
I hear ya and, in that case, TLOU is timeless as I don't see the mechanics changing much.
We'll see in ten years. For now, it's one heck of a game. But it may be because it is still fresh.
What games do we consider timeless? And why do we consider them timeless? Does TLoU have those attributes? What games were great in their day but are not timeless? That's what we have to ask.
I'm currently on my grounded run and boy this game is still fun as hell after 2 years. I really don't care if it's considered a classic or not. For me it's one of the best games ever.
