Good. If people are too rich and lazy for their own good I'm all down for them funding the industry.

I assume that most of this is going into their pockets.

If they've no money in their pockets they'll invest less in future games.  Again I'm glad there's this option.  It's basically a donation for rich and / lazy people

What's so bad about this again? Choice is bad now?

It is bad because it devalues the "normal way to achieve it". To know that you could just buy that level instead of playing the game to achieve it just doesn't feel so great (same for all games offering this stuff).

The worst case scenario would be a game like Dark Souls offering this stuff. Knowing with every death that you could simply invest some money for some level (or whaever else) would totally fuck up the fun of it.

At least for me a situation where I think "hmm, I have to invest x hours for this level which they also sell for y bucks" is something which takes some fun away of the game because I would never buy a level but investing many hours for leveling up  just feels like wasted time then.

So it seems.. but its not

This is the industri testing and hole time try to  see how long they can go.. "can we get them to pay this" "what if we do this"..

I don't see a problem. This is nothing new for MMOs, in one form or another. Most of the time, the people who buy things like this are people who have multiple characters and don't want to go through leveling up yet again.

You don't want it? Don't buy it. Problem solved.

You'd have to be seriously dumb to do that. It doesn't take much time at all to get to level 25.

So now that lack of content is no longer an issue, just pay to skip it anyway. Haha.. Wtf bungie. They must love the money but hate the shit Activision is doing.

Isn't "$29.99 microtransaction" an oxymoron?

Anyway this doesn't seem like an outrageous sin to me. People should effin' play their way to level 25, and if they want to skip through all the grinding they damn well should have to pay a hefty fee.

So I have no problem at all with this not so micro microtransaction.

Whenever a Dev does this, it often comes off as a blanket admission that even they find their gameplay and progression boring. Seriously, it's like they spend a some time trying to pretty it up and fix it and then just say "screw it, we can't be assed. If you don't like it just slip us some cash and we'll let you bypass it"

Well i hope Bungie makes money of this, since this is what gaming has become right...?
