Regardless, this is a great thing for fans of the series and that's what matters most.
Agreed, I think being able to play as Bayo now is personally more beneficial than it would have been before Bayo 2s release. The only way I'd think it would work before hand is if they weren't marketing it, but they actually had a really decent push for Bayo 2. Here's hoping that the most people voting for here Worldwide is enough to get Nintendo talking to Platinum about Bayo 3.

No, she shouldn't have been there from the start. That's like saying the protagonist from Devil's Third should have been there from the start, since Devil's Third is exclusive to PC and Wii U. Bayonetta 1 is on Xbox360 and PS3, and Bayonetta 2 wasn't even out by the time Smash launched. As at launch, the only 3rd party characters to make it in were characters more than 2 decades old. Sonic, PacMan, Megaman.

Interesting. Smash is my favorite multiplayer game of all time. From N64 till now, the Smash series is probably responsible for more hours of fun in my life than any other single thing is. And I just realized I don't have a favorite game character of all time. For now, I'll assume its Link, since Zelda is my favorite game series of all time.
