Forums - Nintendo - Wiimote Batteries

Was just wondering what people do to keep playing their Wii's because of the Wiimote being wireless. What I mean is do you just replace old batteries when they die, do you have a seperate charger to recharge your batteries or did you buy a 3rd party charger for your Wii? I have a seperate battery charger but it doesn't fully charge the batteries that I use in my Wiimote for some reason and my Wii didn't come with a cable that could be plugged in to charge the Wiimote (was it supposed to?) so I bought 3rd party charger that plugs into the Wii and also acts as a Wii stand but I'm not sure if I like it to much. It looks a little bit like this.

I was wondering what other people use. I realize this is probably coming late seeing as how the system has been out for 18 months or so now, but I just managed to get my hands on one. Like I said I'm not to sure if I like the charger I got and I can return it still if someone has a better option, but it was pretty much the only thing I could find.

I bought some lithium ion rechargeable batteries batteries and a wall mounted charger, it works pretty well, and I just cycle out the bad ones...

Nintendo Network ID: Sherlock99

4 NiMH AA rechargables, and a 90-minute charger. That's all you really need, and it comes in handy for far more than just the Wiimote (unlike the many charging stations third parties are putting out these days).

the classic way

I use the Nyko Wii Docking Station, I don't need your stinking batteries.

I have a rayovac rechargable batteries and charger, its a real money saver since I switched to it

I have a 3rd party battery dock, works great. USB to the wii, when the wii is on it charges the battery's. I also has the same blue light as the wii when they are charging:P

I have been using a recharging station from penguin united. Plug it into the Wall, not the Wii. It has worked great with no problems at all. It is only $20 on their site too.

Thanks for your replies, was wondering if I was missing a cable or didn't find the right recharger. My main thing with my charger that I got is that you have to take off the wrist strap to put the Wiimote in the charger. I find it to be a big pain to get back on and I don't want to become one of those idiots that accidentally throws his Wiimote through the TV.
