Did you ask if the game was not avalible or they just ordered very few copies and ran out of them?
What's the problem with using Amazon or online stores in general? It's the only way I can buy my games...

I was pretty annoyed when I couldn't find Xenoblade anywhere (not even in Media Markt) but found shelves filled with Devils Third instead. (actually had to go to another city to buy Xenoblade)
