I looked into tickets and it is sold out first three days. I have never seen a film sell out all showings it's opening weekend, especially this far in advance.

Internationally it's weak. A lot of my friends seems to be unenthusiastic about it but that's the same way it started with Avatar. I feel like word of mouth will resonate once they hear it is a good film if it is but this is Disney we're talking about so it probably is a good film. The marketing is on point too.

It doesn't have any problem dominating domestically though.

I'd say no, and has any of the Star Wars movies made it past the billion mark... I don't think so, so even if it makes a billion that would be a big win already.

Phantom Menace thanks to the 3D rerelease. Inflation wise, The original trilogy probably hit 1B$ each.

Looking at inflation only one made the billion mark that was the 1977 Star Wars it made $307,263,857 adjusted for inflation that ads up to $1,190,401,700

That's just domestic gross.

Yes, so it is. My bad...

Star Wars 1977 is actually the third higest grossing film of the history when adjusted for inflation, Is 2.825.000.000$

Is just behind Gone By The Wind and Avatar.

Star Wars is very strong, and the timing for this one just feels right, is gonna be big, and if the movie happens to be good, then is gonna be brutal.
