Forums - Nintendo - How much do you expect Starfox Zero to sell?

?

500k or less 58 16.29%

500k - 1m 142 39.89%

1m - 1.5m 104 29.21%

Over 1.5m 52 14.61%

Total:356

I would say 500k-1m
tbh it doesnt looks that good and im not sure if the audience is in the Wii U.
Did the one in the 3ds sold 1m+?

Since DKC TP has struggled a lot to arrive to 1 million, I predict the same situation for Star Fox. It's not as popular as the monkey, but is the return of a classic, so that will compensate...

It's going to sell ZERO copies by the end of this year. Cap this post!

Ugh.. I was looking at your signature while voting and thought this topic was about Fast Neo Racing so I voted below 500k. I have no doubts it will surpass that but maybe not 1 million.

2. The graphics, while ok are not looking like they would be worth paying full price that Nintendo will no doubt charge.

I think this game would be much better recieved if it was a $40 game like Captain Toad.

A $60 price point would severely damage this game's sales potential, as I just don't think most gamers in 2016 would drop that kind of money on a game of this type, with these graphics.

I remembered I had somewhere seen that the game isn't full price. So I checked the price on amazon.de and I was right. The game can be preordered for 45€. So I doubt that NoE will sell it for the full price. However I also checked amazon.com and the price there is 60$. The release is next year, so the price may still vary, but at the moment it seems that NoA wants to sell it for full price ... (Sometimes it is good to be european.)

I can see about a 10% attachrate for this game.... so should be able to do slightly over 1M.

Im guessing nostaliga will be the main selling point of this game, cuz it doesnt look to be the controlls or the graphics, gameplay didnt look amasing either.

When did gamers start caring so much about the selling of games and consoles?
I see more articles asking or discussing these things and I don't think one relates to games being good or bad. There are some bad games that sell very well and good games that sell awful and vice versa. But this has become a major focus this generation and people are no longer asking if a game is going to be good or not, but how well will it sell on said system...

I dunno bout the rest of the internet. It doesn't really feel like the overall gaming media is any more concerned about sales than before. It's just that you are on VGCharts, a stie dedicated to tracking the sale of games and consoles, so naturally the focus on a game's sales is going to be rather high, certainly way above the norm. This doesn't mean that anyone here thinks sales = quality, just that they are interested in how much various games sell.

I see this topic constantly being brought up on multiple sites concerning exclusive games to a console, it's not an isolated incident or a very small circle of people doing this. It's the number one go to response from many people that may not be able to attack or critique a game on review ratings, so they go to game sells as if this would somehow disrupt ones enjoyment of the game themselves. I'm not saying that is what the OP is bringing up here, but it just gives ground for people to throw around these notions anyway.

I think it will juuust make around the one million mark over it's lifetime, 850k-1m. Star Fox isn't known as a big seller, and the NX news coming soon after its release are just going to rip its legs clean off.

Then post your concerns on these other sites. This site is a video games sales site, like Teeqoz already mentioned. You shouldn't be surprised that people talk about how much a video game might sell on a site that is dedicated to video game sales and even has weekly sale charts right on the front page.

1M if they advertise it;
500k if not
