Forums - Sony - Things in FF7 you wouldn't mind being changed for FF7R

More info on some of the characters.

That may have been hinted by the trailer. If they are going to make the first episode focused on Midgar there's a lot of chance of fleshing up their back stories.

Being Playstation exclusive

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

First one wasn't PlayStation exclusive though

I wouldn't mind if not watching the entire Knights of the Rounds summon and give us the option to skip all summon scenes.

I want to know how Summons will play out in the remake. :D

Same here.  Maybe the same route as FFXV?

Oh... not a complain thread.

I would like if they took some inspiration from Xenoblade chronicles.

I enjoy that combat system, and skill tree's & various skills (but limited skill slots) so you can customise how you want to play the game.

If they had that, ontop of the materia system..... *mindblown gif here*

If I would put FFXV's Summon approach I would describe it as Summons having a pseudo-real time interaction in the moment.

Besides that one, that leaves the following options:

1) a simple video of the summon attacking

2) a summon appears and stands while attacking

3) a summon appears and joins your party

4) a summon appears and you are allowed to control it

5) options 2,3&4 but the party member who casts the summon disappears for the duration of the summon

What else am I missing here?

Sounds like you got the gist of it all.  I'd probably prefer a simple video with some button interactions that determines the strength of your summon's attack (similar summons in FF8 i forget which).  I prefer to not take the control away from the actual party to control a summon.

That would be a throwback but adds interaction with a cinematic summon indeed.
