Forums - Sony - Things in FF7 you wouldn't mind being changed for FF7R

I mean, it is easy to say I don't want "this" or "that" changed in the remake, just look at people who didn't like the change of the battle system to one action oriented, but what about things you may say: "FF7 could do better without this", or "maybe it would be better if they add this or change it to that other thing"?

Is there something you think Final Fantasy 7 could really do without  or to have it made differently to make the game better?

I wouldn't mind if they made the crossdressing sequence larger.

The graphics. FF VII obviously has way too good graphics for the PS4 to handle it at a decent framerate, so a downgrade is a must.

I remember those. Plus there were them random encounters making the whole thing take even more time.

You can see in the trailer though some scenes of Cloud going through some broken debris (possibly after making some reactor explode) that doesn't seem to add much gameplay beyond moving the character forward. I suppose we could still have some unncessarily gameplay pieces like the switches ones.

At least we know the crossdressing is happening. :D

You cant make FFVII beter by taking something out of it.

Anyway, the amount of the materias you can hold is too smal.
You can hold a maximum 328 in total (200 in inventory and 128 on characters) on disc 3.
Having master summon, magic and commands for all characters already takes 24 spaces.

Annoying issue starts at 1:45.

From the video preview pic I thought it would be those damn stairs to the top of the Shinra Building. But that part is somewhat annoying as well.

The story and the characters.

Basically build the game around the submarine game. And no this isn't sarcasm, the characters and story bore me to death. The submarine game is the only fun thing about it. Oh and Tifa's tits. I'd say they should make a game around that but the doujin community was way faster.

I've seen people complaining about a whole section of some games, like they'd rather take that part out of the game altogether. I thought it could be possible for some people to find something like that in FF7 and wish it away.

I remember getting my materia space all filled up once or twice. I think I was leveling up several materia of the same kind though.

The Shinra HQ stairs part is actually great.

You can find one the best weapons of the game there, Barret's ultimate weapon, if he's in your party.

Plus, the dialogue is funny.
