Forums - Gaming - How would you rate 2015 now all major titles have released?

One of the lower rankings in recent memory. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either, and some of the games that did release underperformed.

And the year as a whole, I'd rather it as a 7/10.

I finally quit looking for that "8th gen experience" and accepted that I'm probably not going to be blown away. Then I started having fun. Not a lot of games that I expect to be on my Greatest of All Times list but I had fun.

Life is Strange is probably the most emotionally invested I've ever been when it comes to a video game.

My list by games I enjoy.

My Xbox One 8/10. Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Halo 5, Forza 6, Ori, Tomb Raider, backwards compatibility.

My PC - 7/10. Pillars of Eternity, SC2 Legacy of the Void, Kingdom, Darkest Dungeon, Undertale.

My Wii U - 2/10, but could go up a few notches once I start Xenoblade Chronicles X.

It's been a great year : 8.0 - 9.0

+ Bloodborne
+ Until Dawn
+ Batman: Arkham Knight
+ Fallout 4 (GoTG potential)
+ NBA 2K16

- The Order 1886

Very good for me. Bloodborne, The witcher 3, batman AK and MGS 5 are more than enough for me.

Got to be an 8.5/10 for me on PC, got some good games and some bad ports but overall it was decent, next year is looking to be something though.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Decent Year overall 8/10

ps4: 9/10
wii u: 5/10
3ds: 6/10

Subpar. I do most of my gaming on 2.5 platforms (3DS, Wii U, and aging PC), and in recent years, one platform gets weak around the time another steps it up. The 3DS was strong in the Wii U's weak first half of 2013, the roles were reversed in late 2014, and the occasional PC indie game helps fill voids.

This year, the 3DS had a lot less releases after April, the Wii U had fewer great games than in 2014 (though arguably on par with 2013), and I haven't seen that many interesting smaller PC titles yet. And what other stuff I've seen being released has t pushed me to get new hardware.

Pretty great. Some disappointments.

Good:
Fallout 4
Bloodborne
Tales of Zestiria

Bad:
Halo 5
Star Wars: Battlefront

And of course I'm still playing games like FFXIV, SWTOR, and Destiny that got expansions/DLC this year.

Much better than last year, except for Nintendo. Now don't get me wrong, Splatoon is great, but everything else was underwhelming (though I still have to check out Mario Maker). As for the other platforms, finally most of the games I tried actually worked when I got them (other than Arkham Knight). This year had a lot of fantastic games like MGSV, Witcher 3, Bloodborne, I could go on. Not only that, but even the yearly franchises (CoD, AC, Battlefield) were improved from last year. It felt like there were a lot fewer disappointments this year.
