Oh, also you could get indulgences and transfer them to dead people.

So if you had a brother who you really liked but wasn't very spiritual you could work hard to earn him indulgences to get him out of purgatory or whatever.

Probably an answer to the whole "How can i be happy in heaven if my friend is in hell?"

That's the toughest part of Christianity for me to figure out.

Only that the bible wasn't written by a sci-fi writer that said that the best way to get money is to make a religion (he died rich by the way). And that christianity don't require loads of money to join.

And no shame on soriku, for i spoke the truth. And now a more imparcial one:

Shame on Soriku reinstated.
He still believed you right away without doing research nor ask for proof.
What you wrote first was still spun in a bad light and could be considered as propaganda, yet he took it in unquestioningly.

If you really love God, then God would place far above friends or even family.  Hard to think about, but heaven is worshipping God for eternity because you truly love Him.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

The first one? Took from south park, which is the truth but molded to be funny

The second one? Wikipedia, yes i know that wikipedia can be edited by anyone but i don't agree to this argument since you can't tell which site to trust in the internets aniway.

And Soriku don't have to do a deep research in scientology just because he was curious to know what it was. And aniway, i didn't lied to him, just presented the facts as some kind of parody just like you did with christianity and i think i made clear it was mostly a joke.

So, no shame to soriku :]

In SSJ's defense I don't recall a time where he's ever talked about Scientology's religion aspect, other than how it was founded(and for that matter why). The issue is with how the beliefs are spread.

thank you for stating exactly what i have done. geez members on these boards are quick to jump on the flame bus before reading into things. Morons.

Anyways a cult is group that is ran to extort their members or made for the exact purpose to eliminate a select group.

The KKK is a cult.

Scientology's main administration runs the religion as a cult making it a cult.  If their main administration changed how the place was ran instead of extorting their members of every penny they have it wouldn't be.

I couldn't care what scientology believes.  Yes I have looked into it but all religious beliefs throughout the world really makes no sense so I wont judge them.

Please before you question why people like me are against the current state of scientology why dont you look up their history as well as people killed by scientology.

Maybe... but consider this... in the ten commandments God orders you to love your family and friends... and thats a direct order...

I'm not saying he needs to do deep research, just atleast know the facts.
What would be the purpose of him asking if he didn't want to know the truth and just settled with badly spun half-truths(Yes I consider the Christianity one the same way)?
If someone asked about Christianity and I gave him that crappy explanation about Christianity and the inquirer just took it in unquestioningly, do you think it's alright?
So yes, shame on Soriku. >:[

In terms of cults I heard about them commiting suicides or being anti-social or reclusive and recruit people etc.

Would being a PS3/360/Wii fanboy count as a cult?

Anti-social? Check

Reclusive? Check

Recruiting People? Check

Suicides? No

Well three out of four isn't bad

Oh and everyone please join the Reggie Nation. We are starting a Reggie-lution. That is all.

Yes and you should even if they don't believe in God. But if it came down to God or your family, like for instance, your family would disown you if you became a Christian, it should be God.

Love God, that's the most important thing, and the rest will fall into place.
