I do consider a studio that is owned by Nintendo, like Retro or Monolith, as part of a Nintendo internal studio. They after all belong to Nintendo.I see Monolith and retro names more of a teams name, rather than a "separate" studio. And I think its fair. The developer award is meant to see who has the better input/quality throught the year, no matter the size. Its not meant to be "fair". |
Okay, in that case you have to consider everything Nintendo has made throughout the year, including stuff like Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, Mario Party 10, etc. You can't only cherry pick the best titles they released this year, and say that they deserved best developer of the year.
As for the other point, None of the other publishers were treated that way. Bethesda wasn't nominated for all their studios (not that any other studios released anything anyway), only Bethesda Game Studios was nominated. Same counts for Konami, where only Kojima Productions was nominated. Only Nintendo is treated that way.
