Either way, NX is still succeeding at being an interesting point of discussion.

So the Wii brand really is going to die with the WiiU. Sad, it had a decent run, broke a lot of records and led the way to many forms of gaming. Hope Nintendo keeps the name around for something else.

Wow dem feels. My eyes watered up a little reading that last bit. I swear I'm not crying I swear :'(

The codename probably just means next console.

My prediction is they will go with a really cheap 199 VR device. If they want to recapture the Wii casuals that's their best bet. It won't be graphics intensive like the ps4 but will be like a modern day wii.

Games like Zelda will run on the Wii U but will be compatible with this in VR.

That's my only guess for an altogether new experience. Otherwise it's just a handheld and a console to replace the 3DS and Wii U at slightly different times.

I am glad they are dropping that terrible name. And it was a stupid thing not to drop it for Wii U. It was the first time they continued a name and it caused alot of confusion. Nintendo should just call it Nintendo 7 leave luck to heaven.

Home console confirmed?

It's good they're dropping the Wii name, it has long since lost its punch and it wouldn't make much sense to keep it.

I just hope when they say move away they mean to return to the NES SNES days when Nintendo made games for all ages.
