More memories than I can count! Nearly all of my best Christmas memories are game-related! Getting my Sega Genesis and playing Sonic all day... Getting my SNES and playing Donkey Kong all day... Pretty much any game I got in the morning and played that day without waiting has given me nice memories, so I try to make a habit of playing at least one each year without waiting. Ooh, Golden Sun was a pretty special one. Professor Layton and Pushmo give me the fuzzies because of a Christmas a few years back.

(And don't tell me this because it's a surprise, but there's a PS3 waiting under the tree for me!)

Buying Smash bros melee 2 weeks before buying a Gamecube.

The reason why it took 2 weeks was because the gamecube was sold out - they had a black one at my local best buy but I wanted the violet/standard one.

So I waited 2 weeks...and got it 3 days before christmas :o

Wow, I didn't know the GC was sold out when it was released. I may have asked at a late time to get one for X-mas. So I am surprised I managed to get one at all x ) Mine was black as well.

I'm 31 so the past 15 Christmas havnt been that good surprise-wise when it comes to gaming, as I've always got whatever I want due to buying it myself.

But I remember when the Sega Saturn came out and I really wanted it. I went into a gaming shop with my Mum and brother and it was there so I walked over just to look at it, my mum must of watched me and knew I wanted it but she kept quiet. I woke up Xmas wondering what I might have and there it was the Sega Saturn with around 6 games, I can't quite remember the games but one was a football game and one was Loaded ( a top down shooter) I loved that Xmas, I felt massively lucky to have one.

Wow, you got a Saturn? That's awesome! I never got to play, nor even see one, so I am kinda jealous you got to have one x )

I remember how I spent the entire Christmas of 2004 playing Paper Mario TTYD, which became one of my favorite games of all time! Good, good times.

Oh man, TTYD is soo good... I wish I had a copy... T_T  Good way to enjoy the holidays.

I know I got a GameCube around Christmas, played nothing but Melee and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door all all day.

Good memories.

Those sounds like good memories indeed... : 3

Getting a Super Nintendo and Super Metroid and spending hours trying to navigate and find secrets. Game still holds up today and remains among my favorites.

That does sound fun indeed. Nothing like getting a fresh new console and booting it up on X-mas : )

I never got consoles or video games for Christmas or birthdays

But I oftenly got money from my grandpa to buy them myself. He even paid my first PC.

Oh, sorry to hear that... : X Well, getting money to buy games also works out x ) that's kinda how things work for me now.

1. My older brother got me the greatest console ever the DREAMCAST in 99. Next day I opened NFL2K at my dads house.

2. Parents got one of my younger brothers and I a Genesis and Mortal Kombat one year.

3. Grandmother got me an Atari one year with a box of like 30 games.

Yeees, the Dreamcast was the best. I played so many awesome games on it. x D The Genesis was also a great system I enoyed, with games like Sonic and Battle Toads, but I never owned an Atari. : X

When I got my GameCube for Christmas in 2002 or 2003, my dad put it inside a big box that used to be for a fan that you mount in your window, so when I ripped off the wrapping, that's what I thought I got and I was so disappointed. But after a few seconds, I noticed there was some extra tape on the box, so I kept opening it up and lo and behold, a GameCube with extra controller. Then my parents told me to look under my pillow, so I ran back upstairs and found the Chamber of Secrets game (never ended up liking that game).

My parents still make fun of me every once in awhile about how I really thought I was getting a window fan.

Hahaha, oh man, I remember I did that a few times with people. I would get a random box and put the real present inside. I loved people being shocked looking at the box, but then finding the real present. Those were priceless x D

Dang, wow. You had a lot of great X-mas memories! x ) I was kinda the same. I would get a game and have a good time the next morning. Good times indeed. That has kinda gone away since I am older, but I hope I can get something fun this year too and keep that tradition going.

Getting the Super Mario Bros NES bundle was awesome. Nothing can top that.

Feel free to check out my stream on twitch

Man, christmas was better when I was a kid... Even tho I just once got a videogame related present. I was 6 years old when I saw super mario for NES... I played it in my cousin's, and it was the first time i touched a videogame, so naturally I asked for a NES that Xmas and I got it... Years later, I came to the dark PSide and havent left ever since...

This Xmas I ordered a PS4 in Walmart... they or the shipping company stole it from the box, and all I got was an empty box... Saddest Xmas ever... still waiting on a response from walmart...

Getting my DS and playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time for the first time. I still play that game all the time

My siblings and I getting a Playstation for Christmas in 2001 (?) from Grandma - which really meant that she gave my parents money and they bought it but I digress. We played it so much between the 5 of us that it melted by 2003. Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Twisted Metal 2, Gran Turismo, Sheep Raider, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater etc. Played a lot of co-op Twisted Metal and HORSE on THPS. That thing will forever be my favourite system.

I also remember the family getting a Wii in 2010 (?). That was the greatest system for getting us all to play games together - I remember asking for one after I played Wii Sports at a friend's house every lunch hour on school days. My sister dominated Wii Boxing and Basketball, my brother dominated Wii Table Tennis and Cycling, and I pretty much raked everything else. We had Mario Kart and Brawl as well, which also brought tons of holiday fun.

To me it will never matter how great the graphics are or how well online multiplayer is implemented; I will forever miss those hours of couch co-op with my family we got on the PS1 and Wii. Even my parents played those games. My mom playing as Axel is one of my fondest gaming memories.

Getting Ocarina of Time on christmas 98. It changed everything

Parents got me a gameboy color with Pokemon Blue for Christmas in 1999 (I think...).

Meant a lot to me and still remember it till this day. That's what got me into gaming and it holds a very special place in my heart.

Getting the original game boy back in like 92 or something. Then many years later in 98 got N64 with Goldeneye and ocarina. Then in 2001 I got a ps2 with gta 3. After that I just bought games and consoles myself (well until last year when I ask my mum to get me GTA 5 on ps4 lol
