Better headline for thread is "Mass NX production to begin at the end of Q1 2016". ;)

WOW! Exactly that!

Also, Q1 it's fiscal not calendar, so essentially it's Q2 2016...

Are you sure about fiscal and calendar year? But doesn't really matter really, we will have NX next holiday season. :)

When I read the title, I thought Nintendo was getting a new Digimon game :(
Well, does this mean that we'll get the NX sooner than expected?

Also, the NX inquisition is always watching. XD

If true

It means all those people saying the Wii U wasnt going to be abandoned already by 2016 where basically wrong.

The console will be out relatively early in 2016 (earlier than most actually thought).

Plenty of people where saying 2017 earliest, and closer to 2018, they where in denial about the Wii U's state.

Alot of people where right in predicting it would be out in 2016 though.

*edit:  Foxconn  okay.....

Why do you think it will be out relatively early in 2016, info is saying mass production will star at the end of the Q1 we don't know is that refer to calendar of fiscal Q1.

what is this article and nonsense?

its based on absolutely NOTHING, absolutely no references or information. why make a thread on such lack of information. this is just a joke in terms of speculation, like pulling a number and date from a random bag or magic 8 ball. absurd.

Digitimes is well known for information like this, they have own sources with suppliers and based on infos they getting from suppliers they make articles and news.

More Units than the Wii U has sold in its entire life span thus far? Doubtful. Nintendo has to prove to third parties that the market is there for them. That simply will not happen on Nintendo software alone. The Nintendo core audience is shrinking and has been for several generations (bar the Wii, which was an anomaly).

Well not doubtful if they releasing handheld and home console in same time like is assumed.

If this is true and the NX is on or near par with PS4/X1, this could drastically alter the landscape and likely be very influential to MS' future Xbox division decisions. While the PS4/X1 have the power, they don't have the legendary franchises (Mario, DK, Link, etc.). If the NX rolls in with comparable power, it will most likely get 3rd party support and eat into the marketshare of the 2nd largest console.

Why doubtful? If the architecture is X86 like the PS4/XB1, then it would take almost no effort to port third party games. Besides we don't know if NX will be a handheld, a home console or both.

This is good news though, the sooner it comes the better.
Also Im curious as hell to see what Nintendo can do with a console equal to the PS4 in power.

Because this website accurately leaks this sort of information about consumer electronics in this exact manner literally every year, and are right far more often then they are wrong.
