Meanwhile in a Xbox One near you !!

Online on Windows 10 PCs and both XB1 and the W10 PC have to be on the same home network. Try again.

And it has to be a w10 tablet.

Ps4 will support vita, android, pc, and mac.

Good to see Sony closing in on the PC space more and more, great move from them.

More and more?, they sold off SOE and Viao, what are they doing more and more of towards the platform? (besides an odd publishing of a game designed by someone they don't actually own). Afaik MS is doing more than Sony towards PC gamers.

Sony is probably going to add PS4 Remote play, PS Now, PS Vue to PC/Mac.
Sony is allowing a large number of its "console exclusive" games to launch on PC/Mac.
Sony is allowing any company that wants to, to do X-Play with PC/Mac.

Microsoft is forcing people to use W10 to do their remote play.
Microsoft is allowing microsoft published games to X-Play with PC.

Explain?

While still in control from it's own platform
Sony is allowing a large number of its "console exclusive" games to launch on PC/Mac.

Games that were coming to PC anyway and aren't owned or all funded only by Sony, DQH isn't funded entiely by Sony and is owned by SE as an example, if you want to ebat MS then they would have to give actual IP's they own like how MS owns gears and has previously given it;s own first part IP a few titles to PC like Halo in the form of spinoffs and an RTS.
Sony is allowing any company that wants to, to do X-Play with PC/Mac.

x-play?

Microsoft is forcing people to use W10 to do their remote play.

Sony is forcing people to use their brand anyway at the end of the day, you want that remote play, you ened a PS4, you want those PS games, you ened a PS device, you are forced and strong armed either way, don't ever tell me that you aren't because if you want them Sony games you gotta get the device, not a point where MS actually ports over titles to PC that work on Windows 7 and 10 while Sony gives you slight options to play some of their games but only if you purhcase their devices they control and own entirely.

Microsoft is allowing microsoft published games to X-Play with PC.

Honestly, you are pretty wrong on all accounts man.

The point of this whole thread is that sony is creating an official remote play app for the PS4 on both PC and Mac. Aka -- not vaio -- aka open?

X-Play  = cross platform play. MS is notorious for having a giant log up their assholes in regards to it.

Not really mate, you don't just go "well you're wrong" without further backing it up.

X-play, isn't the official term or name for cross platform play, please stop trying to think that it is because that's the first time I've seen someone use such a name compared to everyone else who uses "crossplatform", also MS has crossplatform games with PC players and will in the future, just because they don't have cross platform games with Sony doesn't mean they have to either, I don't see Sony ever having any crossplatform games with Nintendo, the whole everyone's gotta crossplat with Sony or they are stupid" mentality has got to stop.

Also at the end of the day it;s good that they are making a remote play app but MS has also gotten onto that beforehand, also getting tired of whenever someone else does something first they get snuffed aside but when Sony does it it's miles better.

Where have people been saying that? Also, as far as I'm aware the only Xbox One cross platform multiplayer games are ones made by Microsoft. They haven't been very open to allowing other studios to do so.

It's important to point out that what Sony is doing, and what MS does in regards to remote play are quite different. Sony won't require the player to be on the same network as their console to play games. That's a huge plus for a feature like this. Away on a trip and have some time to kill? Play some PS4 games from your laptop. This is being taken as miles better because the way Sony does it IS miles better.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

A feature I'll never use...YIPPEE!

That they have seized with a lot of hardware has nothing to do with it. What you are seeing with with PSNow and now this with remote play, is Sony checking out what gamers think about not being bound to a specific hardware, but rather use the playstation platform as a utility across many hardware platforms. Sony's dream would of course be to sell more software than today, and not having to release new hardware every 6-8 years.

You don't have to have a PS3 anymore to play its games. How long do you think it will take until you can play PS4 games without a PS4?
