Yeap a 199$ Wii U would probably be easily done with a pro controller... a shame nintendo didnt go that route.

wish it come out earlier, having a few spare gamepads isn't a bad thing when they can break lol

Interesting that the interview is from 2013 and that the gamepad still costs 100 bucks.
Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

This isn't new. It's been for sale there pretty much since launch.
Although the Wii U has the capability to use 2 gamepads at once the system simply doesn't have the power to do it unless the graphics and frame rate take huge hit.
For anyone who's tried to play 2 players in Hyrule Warriors can attest, when the console is asked to run the game twice on different screens it slows down to a snails pace with awful resolution. It would only work for very simple games.
That is why the upcoming Starfox game is actually quite an achievement on Wii U hardware. The have the 2nd screen running at 60fps is incredible considering the Wii U specs.

I Hate REMASTERS
I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS
My gamepad's left stick has been reading my inputs inconsistently for quite some time now so this id definitely coming at a good time, but at $100, eh, I think I'll continue to tough it out. :L

Me too actually. I was wondering if it was just me. |
Do you know the cause? For me I don't think it's the fault of the hardware itself rather than how intense I can be at Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Smash hehe.
