Wow. Im acually surprised at how many people like the idea for the peripheral. I saw it and thought it looked amazingly tacky. Im not saying it wont be fun...just tacky. And strumming on the touch screen seems a bit difficult. I guess we'll see. Personally, I've never bought a Guitar Hero and I will probably pass on this one. (I do however own Rock Band =D )

Yeah, I'm not saying it DOESN'T look tacky.

But when I imagined a Guitar Hero DS, this is exactly what I wanted. using the DS buttons wouldn't feel the same, and anything bigger than this peripheral would have been overkill. Holding the DS in the book position with a strap on the peripheral is pretty good.

I wonder why they opted for only 4 buttons though...a lot of challenge comes from having 5...

What I really like about having Guitar hero on the DS is the increased rockoutability. Remember when the wireless controllers made it so much easier to really look like a jack ass because you weren't tethered to the TV? Well now the TV goes where you go, so you can run around, play in circles, collapse on the floor.

The only limitation now is the size of the speakers.

I would think that they only went with 4 buttons on the DS to avoid having to move your hand as you played.  I can imagine that moving your hand while trying to keep the system stable could be an issue, especially if your hand is in a strap across the back of the system.

 It will be interesting to see if they change anything to make it more challenging.

Looks cool. I am very concerned about only 20+ songs, though. I'd like to see 50 songs and a $50 price.
