I think it didn't worked like they wanted it to work.

My pc and laptop both upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 a couple of days ago so this feature will definitely come in handy. With a PSTV, WiiU game pad, and this update, I'm all set! |
It works, but...
Useless, unless you share your only TV with your wife of partner.
As you still have to hold your game pad it is not as pratical as the WiiU or Vita.

UI navigation is completly separeted from game resources. Unless Microsoft free one of the 2 CPU cores developers won´t have any extra power to work with. But any way, if the feature was usefull why would they remove it just to get scraps of performance? The reasons are well stated, very few people made use of gesture navigation, no need to dig it deeper. |
You are late... they already did free part of the 2 CPUs cores used by the system to games in the November 2014 SDK (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-microsoft-gives-more-cpu-power-to-xbox-one-developers-blog)... only one CPU core is used by the system when playing game.
They are removing now useless features to free up more resourse... it happens for all consoles.
