fairly odd to remove a functional feature tho, can't see how it was taking up much room it's just cursor control on the main UI. Doubt too many are effected by this tho.

Only ever used it when it accidentally picked up my cellphone movement. I use Kinect everyday and always as a mic. Can't stand anything on my head for long periods of time.
It wasn't that good on the Xbox One. The interface was different than on the 360. In my opinion gesture didn't quite work as well as they did on the Xbox 360 with Kinect.
The 360 paid attention when you waived at it -the Xbox One when you raise your hand. It needs more work.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |

We can thank all of the crying about resolution for this. They keep taking resources away from the UI to try to get more graphics for games. It's kind of silly, because the actual Xbone owners weren't even complaining. I was cool with less graphics and a more robust UI. Now the UI is laggy, because they are hypervising too much away.

Free up resources used by the system so they can give to devs use in games.
That is how they are releasing new SDKs that can use more of the Xbone.
I'm not an apologist but I find that voice control or controller input was a billion times faster, anyway. It was a cool trick but ultimately not that useful. If you have a Kinect, it's easier to just say "Xbox, go to Netflix" than it is to
-raise your hand over your head
-flip through panels to get to " my games and apps "
-flip through apps until you find Netflix
-hold your hand over Netflix and move your hand forward
With the new layout, it would be even more of a chore.

The new UI is still lagged? I thought they are really focusing in fix all the issues the previous has.

I have preview which is always recording to catch bugs to report. But these gestures have been gone since NXOE preview and have made it snappy. Just not Titanfall fast like I want. Its more like COD. At least it isn't slow like old Halo.

Tell that to people who have no tongues. The people that have cursed too much of God and got it chopped off in the middle of the street for everyone to witness. To strike fear into their hearts so they won't be doing the same crime. 😒
