10. Epic, it's the best word to describe this franchise, specially this entry.
It see, it kills.
The third.

9. Your objective is to climb down to hell stage by stage to beat the crap out of the devil.
It's the first of a trilogy.

8. Rule No. 1: You shall always include the word "dood" in every line you say!

#10 = God of War 3

'Mario Kart 64' is the best game in the racing genre ever made to me. Maybe this is debatable and objectively not so quality-wise in today's world, even in it's own series, but to me, it undoubtedly is. This is because of what it did back in the day as a game, and what it meant to me as a gamer, or bigger yet, as a person. Because of the amount of time I spent with it, and the amount of fun, I had with it.

The formula of the 'Mario Kart' series, should be familiar. Being among the most successful series in gaming, there's probably not a lot of people who haven't played one of the games at least once, and even less that never heard of it at all. In this case, the game features the classic four cups each with four courses and each playable character has it's own themed course. With the help of items does the player attempt to win first place.

This game is legendary in my family. Many years ago, when we were all still together, we would all participate in tournaments. My parents, two of my cousins, my aunt and uncle, and me. Grandmother was always happy just watching in the background. At one time though, my third cousin was actually present. A rarity. It was the last time I ever saw him, as family perils and other drama broke up much of the family. I remember it like it was the day before yesterday: My mother and stepfather were Peach and Yoshi respectively, like they always were. My cousins were Donkey Kong and Toad like they always were and my third cousin took up Luigi. My aunt was Wario, she usually won, contrary to my uncle, who was Bowser and always got the Lightning power-up for being in last place. And I, I was Mario. The game? The game means family, and memory. Memory of lost loved ones.

I'm getting a lump in my throat, and a subtle smile, while writing stories for some of these top games.

The last game in the series played from an isometric viewpoint, before the series transitioned to a fully 3D polygon design. Also, it was only up to this game that the original creator had the reigns over gameplay design, which is heavily noticeable, due to the rights of the series being part of a purchase by a former hardware creator (though, a former hardware creator in name only I might add) afterwards.

#7: The last mission of this game is a gunfight on a museum.

Another hint: The main character of this game gets killed by the protagonist of the sequel.

9 Hint: It seems you are the only human on the island, but it is still easy for you to make friends.
Hint 2: What to do first? Shall you improve your food situation? Get a bank? An arena or restaurant? An item shop? None of those and start collecting cards?
Hint 3: So you think you are safe at homebase? Guess again and get ambushed twice by strong opponents even if you are currently in weakened form.
8 Hint: Circles and zombies.

Certain aspects of this game were changed or removed in Japan due to concerns about the depiction and references to historical events.

My #7 was the third game in a franchise that went dormant for 8 years after it.

Hint 2: The name of the game mentions the most important object to build while also implying the player's some kind of business big shot in the field.

Dang, people still not getting my 8, nor my 7.

Hint 8 - It's a puzzle game on the Sega Genesis, you make 4s of colored slimes, try to make combos, and crush the opponent. The main character is a cute girl wearing a white shirt and blue skirt. Don't make me spell it out any more than I need to... =_=

Hint 7 - Pretty sure no one will get this one, but it's a game where you pick from one of 10 teams and build up an army. You can recruit monsters like Gremlins, Gnolls, Giants, Black Dragons, Gold Dragons, Angels, Devils, Genies, and so on. And you fight monsters, get treasures, and get artifacts.... You also try to beat everyone else and take theor castles.

Hint 6 - The best game on the NES, it introduced the leaf, which gives you flight. There were other cool outfits, like a frog suit and a hammer bro suit.
