Is this real? Dissapointing if so, I was expecting "more" from a TPHD...

I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment pavo. Look at WWHD.

If Nintendo really put that much effort into this remake and made it look like that, it would be a day one buy.

But I can't see them putting this much effort.

As someone pointed out in another thread, it's not as much as you think. The Link model is probably mostly new.  But many of the other assets are ripped straight from the game with new textures and effects.  It's mostly textures, effects, and some minor refinement on stuff that really needed it badly.  The only thing that would present a real challenge performance wise is the reflections.   The kicker for Twilight Princess is its folliage.  The the flora in Twilight Princess has aged...well it's aged horribly.  It would all need replacement ideally.  I could see them bringing most everything up to the level of that demo - reflections not withstanding - but fall short on flora.

I dunno, with the updated Link model found on Nintendo's conference, we could see something that far surpasses the efforts of WWHD.

Do you remember *why* WWHD looked the way it did?

It was because that was one of the styles they were experimenting with for Zelda U, and they used WW to trial it, and ended up deciding to finish remaking WW in that style, even though Zelda U wasn't going to end up looking like that.

If they made that Zelda tech demo look like that, you can bet they were also considering a Zelda game in that style. What if that experiment led to Twilight Princess HD, but it took longer than WWHD for obvious reasons?

Of Course will not look like that, something like that would require too much time and resources for just a HD version.
