But would it be worth the money? They could easily make some other IP that generates more sales than MLB: The Show.
If anything, I'm surprised 2K doesn't recycle assets from the 2K baseball games and sell it for $20-$30. At that price there wouldn't be any great expectations.

I don't want to hear companies talking about what competitor's games they would like on their console.They should be talking about their own games period.This is an issue with MS and their constant focus only on Halo/Forza.You talk as if they have any successful franchises besides their 3 main games.

Go look at every game MS has funded whether it be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd party since the launch of X1 and other titles coming in 2016. Many of those titles sold better than a release of MLB: The Show.
