I'm sorry, but no 2D platformer is EVER going to make me feel the same way Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime did. There's a certain spirit that's always been present in Nintendo's systems that's just not on the Wii U.

Wait wait Arlo is part of the VGC forums?!

Is that actually Arlo, though? AFAIK Arlo considers DK:Tropical Freeze to be among the greatest 2D platformers of all time. And he was never a fan of Mario Galaxy (especially not at launch— the game has grown on him in recent times though), finding the controls restrictive and the level design far too linear.

Edit— Yeah, upon glancing through his post history, there is no shot this is Arlo. Just seems like somebody cosplaying as Arlo. There definitely is some consistency between Arlo YT and Arlo VGChartz, but the inconsistencies are too significant.

Pretty sure that was the real Arlo lol. He had a very few subs on Youtube back then and I was one of them. Yes, VGChartz introduced me to his channel.

Arlo did use to post of VGChartz but that was a long time ago.
