Do we know if those that purchase the 7th Gen version can upgrade for free to the 8th green version?

Nah, if that was their focus then it'd make more sense to just not release a 7th gen version at all. They might get some extra sales, but purposely releasing a shitty product would likely do more harm to the brand than good. To be honest, ignoring the lack of SP, it doesn't actually look that bad (relative to past 7th gen CoD titles), especially considering it's obviously far from their main priority.

I doubt it becuase those who have a last gen console cna pay $50 and get it free on both the next gen as for them paying for both versions which is $110.

No, you're right. BO3 360 looks significantly worse than BO2 360.

360 was the lead platform for BO2. The BO3 on last-gen versions seem to be downports with very little budget.
