Forums - Gaming - How has Gen 8 been for you so far?

Great. 7th gen was a massive disappointment to me compared to 6th gen.(def in its 2 first years i remember buying lame multi plats so i could play something. And damn these jrpgs where bad.

Now far in the future ps4 is kicking ass and taking names so many games to buy to play so many will be released!

Bloodborne.
Tales of zestiria.
Dragon quest heroes.
Next week sword art online.

And so so many more!

Still need to pick up so many games(mostly Japanese one's) i can't keep up anymore something that whas not a problem on the ps3 until like 2010.

Does anybody else find it weird that the last two posts started off exactly the same?

Its been okay for me so far but next year is when most of the games I want will be releasing.

It's been pretty meh so far (Nintendo does well, though), but hopefully some titles next year will change that.

I thought it odd, yeah.

Easily the best generation launch of all time. PS4 came out the gate running without any needless hatred or glitches (like PS3 and PS2 era), Xbox is also doing quite well without any Red Ring (like Xbox 360), and the games have been for me, great. Hell, I got Bloodborne this gen, and it was amazing!

it seems to be taking a wee bit longer to really hit its stride with exclusives, but most of the best games are multiplatform now and after 2 years, I'm very, very happy with where we are at. Hell, I can't keep up with what I DO have! I've got literally about a dozen games between the three consoles I have yet to touch! Bring it on, Gen 8! Bring it on!

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

I completely agree. I've had fun on the 3DS, but overall this gen has been like a tiny shadow of gen 7. It might be on the uptick though, so I need to wait and see.
