Basically this guy was interested in considering a universe where the X1 will drop 50 dollars every year, and the PS4 will remain at 400 forever, to arrive at that conclusion that under this scenario the Xbox One would outsell the PS4 in 2024, after both systems achieved a combined install base of nearly 1 billion consoles. He admits things don't work like this.. yet he wrote a full article, made graphs, and gets paid to write this. Amazing stuff

Sooo he wrote an article AFTER the PS4 price cut speculating a hypothetical mathematical exercise based an a $400 PS4, which no longer exists, and an annual Xb one $50 price cut, which has not happened in 2015...yet.

Seems to be both late and premature at the same time. Which is surely the sign of a poorly through through article.

Still if you are trying to come up with a scenario where XB one eventually beats PS4 I guess you need to come up with some crazy scenarios to get there. Hell, at least he could have done a think piece on how XB one could win the USA by the end of the generation. That at least is grounded in the realms of possibility.

Yeah, I don't read gaming related articles on ARS, these guys are pure MS fanboys, they dream abous their xb1, they really like to think of scenarios where it somehow "wins" or achieve some kind of sales or technical parity with the PS4...
