On Legendary the campaign length is comparable to Reach or Halo 3, definitely longer than Halo 4 but not twice as long. Putting that aside, the real issues IMO are the recycled boss battles, the story not being accessible without SOLID lore knowledge and ending the campaign as if you were half way through.

The plot has great potential (although I was expecting and hoping for a "Master Chief Gone Rogue" plot) but alone it's easily the weakest of the franchise. However, the levels are fantastic and have huge replayability value for a shooter (minus the recycled boss encounters).

Can't agree with Joe on multiplayer though. Where Halo 5's plot is the weakest, MP is the strongest.

His score seems to be heavily influenced by the (ATM harmless) microtransactions and the fact that splitscreen is gone (is it really 343i's fault that the One isn't strong enough?), which isn't fair IMO.

I haven't played it but from the video (I watched about half), I think they're going for a Halo 2 feel.  Playing as someone besides MC. The cliffhanger ending. All sounds familiar.  I bet they face off of team up in Halo VI.

I feel both 2 and 5 have the same issues in passing. However, Halo 2 IMO is still worse because the clifhanger wasn´t built up.

In Halo 5 the last 4 or 5 levels are the most concise.

What do you mean by this?

I'm pretty sure he means he liked Joe more when he was a Xbox fanboy. Or I could be wrong, Kojima-san.

I think (and I may be wrong) he means that people didn't really care about Joe on this site before. Now we only see his reviews when they fuel the "console wars".  He makes a ton of reviews but they go largely unnoticed here.

Campaign took my roommate 12 hours on legendary and he placed in onyx and diamond on some MP playlists.

Are you serious? You expect two thirds of Xbox one owners to buy this game? It would be cool if that happened, I'd be awstruck but that aint happening. And it aint gonna sell "millions" of x1's, maybe a million at best....but thats optimistic.

I don't think it will sell 10 million... 7-8 million max.

Angry Joe is one fire this gen: 4/10 The Order 1886, 6/10 Destiny and now 6/10 Halo...

An you disagree? I spent two months on destiny before destiny 2.0 and it was a 6/10 at best. The order is a 6/10 if it had something extra but since it doesn't it a 2/10 at best. Halo 5, I haven't played but I would suspect AJ is on the ball.

I am not disagreing with anything. It is just funny how most peope agreed with him for Destiny and The Order 1886 reviews, now they are bashing him for the Halo review.

The same boss for 6 times
AI is dumb
Short campaign
False advertisment of the campaign
You almost dont play with master chief
Story is bad
Random system to unlock shit in the game just to make you spend money on microtransactions.

As much as the multiplayer is good i fail to see how the game got the scores it got.

I agree the campaign was underwhelming... but also more enjoyable than most campaign FPS campaigns. I'm starting my second playthrough.

AI felt fine to me.

Short campaign isn't inherently bad. A lot of games can benefit from being shorter. Have you played MGSV: Phantom Pain?

Agreed on marketing, it was misleading.

You play as Master Chief in numerous levels. Not enough Master Chief is another argument.

False, the story is good. And well above average story telling.

The random unlocks and microtransactions have no impact on standard PvP. Just cosmetic and Warzone mode. Hence, not really an issue.

It scored well because everything it does is good enough to justify a score in the 80s. People complaining the campaign is short is better than bad. Matchmaking playlists needs more options but what it offers is really good. Its not a bad game at all, we just want more.

86 on Metacritic

I'm not a fan of this guy's dumb ass skits and him yelling his views.

I've always thought playing Halo alone on normal was wayyyy to easy. Heroic offers you a challenge at least. You hardly die on normal. Who plays like that? I know some ppl do but don't understand why.

4 hours 30 mins.... campagne on normal mode.

Almost a hour of that is Cutscenes.

Does that include the 3/15 chapters that he says are walking around and talking to people only?

I assume so...

But its fine, people buy Halo for its kickass online multiplayer right?
