Edit: Yes, multiplayer is important, but you also need to understand that you simply can't review just one aspect of a game.

SO my only question in trying to judge the slant of this review is whether you believe his claim at the start that he used to be a massive halo fanboy and whether you believe he's being harsh because a once beloved franchise that he placed firmly on a pedestal above all other games has fallen significantly in his mind. If you believe those sentiments are genuine then I don't know how you can dismiss his review. If you think he's BS'ing and he never truly liked Halo all that much then fine, accuse him of pandering and bias against Halo/Xbox/MS. Personally I believe he's being genuine about his love for the franchise. So I accept the basis for his criticisms at face value. I also appreciate the entertaining way he delivers his critique, and he doesn't spend the entire time in a cuss filled rant, and he doesn't universally bag the game.

I do note he references Destiny quite unfavourably relative to Halo 5, and notes the irony that Bungie seems to have qualitatively fallen behind 343 in many aspects of core FPS gameplay / design.

Not being at all emotionally invested in Halo I found the review to be pretty balanced and indeed for all the ranting if I didn't already know his score before watching I would have expected a lower score than he gave, so I think he still has a soft spot for the franchise even when subjecting it to tough love. Either that or he didn't really care all that much about such things as the loss of split screen and the introduction of microtransactions.

Well of course he knew, he was just playing it up and quite probably recreating his reaction from when he first learned about the loss of Splitscreen, only he wasn't filming himself at the time. Nothing wrong with recreating your first reaction at a later stage and in a different context for dramatic effect. And he is  kinda right that they suddenly dropped no splitscreen on the fans. It was relatively late in the peice that they confirmed lcomplete exclusion of splitscreen.

Then again, perhaps, though unlikely, he imposed an absolute Halo embargo on himself so that he could experience the game completely fresh on the day it comes out. 

Well people are finishing the game in 4-6 hours on normal not heroic so people arent speedrunning the game. All games can be longer if you play it on a harder difficulty.

It's a link, and the whole internet is basically one huge link between people and this is a forum a place where people discuss topics based on those links. For sure OP has his own opinions as do I and you and everyone else. No originality? Plagiarism? How does a link of a video plagiarize itself, it's the same f***ing video! The point is to discuss about things whether it is OP's original content or not doesn't matter. Plagiarism would be to make video like "HungryJoeReview" about Halo 5 and then posting it here, and as far as originality comes we create the content on this forum by discussing about different topics, and it's only fair that all who are interested in this topic have a chance to know what everyone else is talking about, hence links.

Plagiarism is to take credit for someone else's work. The OP posts another guy's work unaltered. I classify that as plagiarism. Its the exact same thing as copy-pasting an article. Does it stop beeing cause its voiced and not written? Weird logic.

Watched most of it. I don't know or care about his SP design or length critiques, because I haven't touched the SP yet as Warzone is just THAT good. But it is funny to see someone who claims to be a massive former Halo fanboy complain about some cinematic hype videos being "misleading" when Halo has done that uh.. pretty much every mainline game + ODST. Not to mention there's probably nothing 343 could do that would top Bungie's Halo 2 bait and switch. Also he complains about a cliffhanger ending... uh duh, Halo 4 was the start of a new trilogy. A trilogy typically consists of three games, so there kind of has to be a cliffhanger or open ending to the second entry. I wonder if he shouted at the movie screen when watching Kill Bill Vol 1 that the open ending was just too convenient for a sequel?

The funniest part though was watching him throw a fit and try to calculate time required to get REQ points to unlock shit. And he claims the best players will get 900 or so tops per Warzone game. I am garbage at Warzone and even I get like 1,300 easily. Just seems like another empty complaint laced with hyperbole and misinformation so Joe can get his Angry Joe on.

And does he believe his viewers are really that dumb to believe he had no idea there was no split screen and that he went out and bought a new Xbone for co-op? Poor viewers.

I'm pretty sure cliffhanger endings are custom to 2nd entries. People were pissed they would have to wait until the next entry for all of these.

It does not work that way, so many people would be interested in someones video but that doesn't mean they're all subscribed. Lol I'm pretty sure there is proof on this thread by people who are not subscribed yet still watched the video. I mean seriously? That is such a presumptuous thing to say.  And as I've said, explain to me, I want you to explain to me how is it any different from posting articles on this site? They can access IGN etc by themselves, so tell me? And for one I don't need to give my opinion, this is just a thread to tell people AngryJoe reviewed Halo, go watch it if you want.

You basically just called me a fanboy and that the only reason I made this thread was because it's a negative review towards MIcrosoft's Halo 5 and that I was a Sony fanboy. 

Oh and apparently sharing a video is now plagiarism, bravo. I've told you the reason I didn't add anything to the topic was because I didn't want to get the campaign spoiled but for some reason you just keep wanting to ignore it so you can keep repeating the same thing over and over.

And do you even know what plagiarism is? How am I passing this video as mine? I LITERALLY say whose video it is in the title and I link the official video in the thread. You should google the meaning of words before you use them, it has helped me many times in saying the wrong things :)
