That's in Warzone. Which he said.  Anything else is cosmetic.

So it is pay to win... that is what the original post complained.

Microtransactions on MP is even worst than on SP.

I hope Destiny didn't do that... for while it is only Dances (comestics).

You think having pay-to-win Micro Transactions in a game is fine. Even some of the games with lots of Microtransactions dont even do that.
I mean sure if you play well enough you can just get the piece of gear or you know ... like some people will do, Just pay the 5 bucks so they can be better then some.
Micro transactions are a almost always a terrible idea for any game Especially if it's in the Pay-to Win situation like it is in Halo 5

They are in no way pay to win. The competitive side of Halo is Arena multiplayer. The only req cards allowed in Arena are skins, helmets and armor. Nothing that gives you a weapon or vehicle. Warzone is where people go to have fun. There's nothing that you earn by winning a Warzone match besides bragging rights. There is no ranking and there is no reward.  Even then, you do not have to pay for the packs at all. I know not one person who has actually wasted money on it. Because it isn't that serious.

Read what I said. Also, for as much judgment that you have on the MP you seem to know nothing about it

I assume so...

But its fine, people buy Halo for its kickass online multiplayer right?

I've always played Halo for the campaign but multiplayer keeps people playing longer and thus away from the 'used-games' bin for longer. This has unfortunately lead to a greater emphasis on multiplayer than singleplayer.

Angry Joe in a nutshell:

He is an idiot and paid by the big corporations when he rants about a game i like.
Otherwise he is pretty funny and honest in his reviews when i agree with him.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

When i said " As much as the multiplayer is good i fail to see how the game got the scores it got." its because some people gave this game 95/100 plus scores, saw one saying this is the best Halo ever made and i find it pure bs. But hey, its gaming reviews.

The random unlocks i find it fucking lame, you have like one piece of armor that is amazing to you , you want it so bad but or you need to have luck or spend the big dolars to get it. Ofcourse they could make not random and you could pick it right away but that would make people spend less money, the way they made it its to the people who dont mind spend money until they they get the item. This is not a skin that is dlc and its out of the game, this stuff is in the game and some dudes will probably never get the piece of gear that is in the game they spend 60 dolars.

Eh... a lot of games get amazing scores that I don't agree with. I just know Halo 5 is a lot better than the average game.

I have mixed feelings about microstransaction. But it sounds like all 15 upcoming maps are going to be free. Free maps has more value to me than cosmetic things like armor designs.

In Halo Reach and Halo 4 you earned currency by playing PvP matches. You could then spend that to unlock armor, voices, and other cosmetic stuff. However, it took many hours of playing to unlock the most desired items. So you could get that stuff free, but population was split by map packs. That was a worse than what Halo 5 seems to be doing.

Are we supposed to pretend that AG's reviews aren't emotionally charged, I'm not saying that's a bad thing but we already knew he was going to make some silly skits and exaggerate certain things like the REQ system and no splitscreen. I agree with his points of criticisms but he gives games lower scores to "make a point" against Developers. I'm not surprised by the final score in the least.

He just doesn't use the 7-10 review scale the rest of the game's media does. He states the game is above average and gives it 6/10, which is mathematically above average. That's a fair score given his statement. If he said the game is above average and gave it 8 then that would be unfair.

I haven't seen much of Angry Joe's reviews but I thought his titan fall review was the most honest one I saw.

Warzone isn't the balanced PvP mode of Halo 5. For balanced competitive PvP, you go to Arena.

Microtransaction in Halo 5 are more like time savers. You can get some card packs after a few matches of any multiplayer or just buy card pack with real money. Hence, even if you remove microtransactions Warzone isn't exactly balanced. Because people who play a lot can still have an edge with cards.

You're grasping at straws, ultimately just avoid Warzone if you don't like the way its balanced. Arena is the way most people are going to play Halo 5. While Warzone seems to be an experiment for the series.

Destiny doesn't do microtransactions, instead they sell expensive DLC or put out updated retail releases. $60 for original release, $35 for Season, and $40-$60 for Taken King. I'm not buying Taken King content until its dirt cheap because fuck bungie. All that content combined is about as much content as Halo 5's campaign. You just replay it hoping for slightly better items.

Destiny DLCs are free now for a year (two DLC expasion).
You will only pay for the next big expansion in Setember 2016 * or Destiny 2 if they release it *
