I was thinking last night of some things that I think would be cool to change or add to the the main menu in the Wii.  

I think it would be nice to be able to create channels from websites, like being able to create a favorite website as a channel so that you can go straight there instead of having to start the web channel up.  

The other thing that I think would be nice with Mario Kart leader board channel coming up would be able to pause your game and go to the Wii menu channels without quitting your game and then being able to go right back to the game.  That sure would be nice to use to check leader boards for MK after a match instead of quitting the game and then having to restart it.  

Any ideas you guys have that would be nice to see?

- SD card support for VC games
- Allow us to manage our games based by system or game type etc.
- Fix this problem with the menu: If you turn your Wii on and then go directly to your messages you'll sometimes get a "Cannot connect to WiiConnect 24, please try again later".
- Fix this problem with the firmware: When your Wii hasn't been on for a few days the next time you turn it on and load a game you are greeted with a black hole for up to and exceeding 6 minutes until the Wii finally decides to call out to Nintendo and grab the WiiConnect24 data it should have grabbed while it was in standby
- Release the "My Nintendo" channel

The only thing I would change would be the music and sound effects. Not a fan of those.

Those were some good ones DarkNight, but I have never seen the black hole or the cannot connect messages.

an update that that allows the wii's friend code to be merged into a username, and just make life easier for those that want to easily connect with others to play via the internet.

I would have it so that the first thing that comes on my wii is porn... That's all I ever use it for.

I get them both all the time, I've called Nintendo about both issues already. You can get the "cannot connect" message pretty easily, next time you start your Wii, go and try to send a message within the first 30 seconds of it booting up.

I will try that, I guess I have never gone to send a message so quickly before to ever notice that.
