Bro, do you know when this promotion ends? I cant believe im saying this, but thats is a pretty fucking great deal and im thinking about getting an X1 LOL

One game of choice, i checked the list of eligible games and there are all the latest games including Halo 5 and COD. And to top it all, the 50$ credit is great too.

Damn you Microsoft!

If you really want to get an Xbox, I think the current newegg deal is possibly better.

The firesales have begun. I wonder if they are going to pull another 360, and try to get a head start again at the expense of their previous console. It worked for the 360.

gears bundle doing really good i dont think its gone that high before.

Oh... oh dear...

"I've heard concrete information that Halo 5 launch numbers will be some of the lowest yet. Like 1.4-1.5M low. I'm willing to polygraph with an admin if need be, I've seen how inside information is dealt with here :P"

Definitely sounds like it could be right.  That would probably mean about 2.5M shipped, which if we use $100 ($60 for at least half, $100 for quite a few, and $250 for a decent amount) as the average that Halo 5 sold for, that would give us $250M.  If the bundle sold ~200K, that counts for $100M, or a total of $350M.  Pretty easy to believe that Req packs (which I believe they said they made over $500K on) plus controllers and headsets, and whatever they incude in "hardware," would get them the $50M they need for their $400M figure.

Day one or first week?

I have a 2.5M FW prediction to keep up, you know XP

October NPD numbers, so US and retail copies only. We now know that in the US + UK, Halo 5 sold 1.55-1.65 physical copies. Then we add the digital sales, where the LE bundle takes the lion's share of that + sales from the ROTW. My personal guess is that the game launched at around 2.3 million.

In other news, Halo 5 vanished in the wake of Black Ops 3. Don't get carried away speculating how many BO3 bundles were sold, though.

And boy, is the ROTR deal not working out so well....

Reading off of Abdiel's other comment, the BO3 bundle did well, but not Destiny (2014) bundle well. BO3 also outsold AW comfortably, at least in stores Abdiel could check.

Cod bundle sold out on amazon.

TR deal was screaming it wouldn't work.
You take the game away from the platform that made it popular and always supported it the most, and try to put it against that platform that's is way more succesful than yours... not to say in the most heated time of the year.

Good for SE for getting some money, bad for showing being so prone to jump on any money.

But you're forgetting one big fact. MS helped fund the development of the game, they are publishing it, not Square Enix. This deal is similar to Sony's deal with Street Fighter 5, except Sony is keeping it console exclusive. I'm sure sony didnt help fund this game because it is a direct competitor to their Uncharted franchise.

MS saw an oppourtunity, and took it. regardless if it fails, MS helped make the game possible.

The game was going to happen regardless of the deal and this is nothing like Street Fighter V. SFV was going to happen, but allegedly not for a long while according to Ono. In addition, MS is very opposed to cross-platform play between the XBO and PC, something SFV will have.
