Forums - Gaming Discussion - Amazon US November monthly bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion.

Personally, I'm really curious to see how the yearly chart looks like after BF. Last year, the PS4 GTAV + Tlou bundle shot straight into #88 on the yearly chart. I think the NDC bundle can go higher, because volumes should be higher+it's had october and rest of november sales as well.

Does anyone remember how well Amazon correlated to last year's BF/November?

November 2014 monthly charts:

#2 Xbox One Assassin's Creed bundle
#11 PlayStation 4 Black Friday with The Last of Us and GTA V bundle
#31 PlayStation 4 Standalone
#48 PlayStation 4 White Destiny bundle
#79 PlayStation 4 Black Friday with Lego Batman 3 and LBP3 bundle
#82 Xbox One Assassin's Creed with Kinect bundle
#100 Xbox One Limited Edtion Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bundle

November 24th-30th charts:

#2 Xbox One Assassin's Creed bundle
#4 PlayStation 4 Black Friday with The Last of Us and GTA V bundle
#42 PlayStation 4 Black Friday with Lego Batman 3 and LBP3 bundle
#47 PlayStation 4 White Destiny bundle
#71 PlayStation 4 Standalone

Wow, thank you! I guess this means that we should be a lot of stock (no. pun. intended.) in PS4 cruising along at #1 on Amazon.

Ah, what-ever, Bragglelord.

Edit: I probably should have embedded an image.

Don't worry, Insipid.

Jerk lol.

For those wondering about WiiU sales, this is some great news for Nintendo: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/target-online-sales-broke-record-145504511.html

Nay to the last part of your post. The NDC in number 1 only started being sold on BF, it's a new listing with physical disc instead of digital code.

Oh, right. In any case I think volume will be higher, but ofcourse it also depends on how much the other items in the yearly chart have sold compared to last year.

Neogaf has a new thread about people's BF experiences. Most of it is anecdotal of course, but may still be of interest to some. A few posts from guys working in retail as well.

This, I believe is the most important post to note:

Our district's stock of the cheap xb1 bundles is largely depleted, but we've got plenty of the uncharted bundles left, because Sony sent us a ton right before the weekend. Then we've got all these fucking tomb raider bundles people keep looking at like they're plague ridden or something. It's stupid.

Basically, last night and today have seen both systems sell really well. Definitely good. But why didn't ms send us more inventory of the cheap bundles? I don't get it. Sony stocked us up for their entire weekend.

(Sigh) is it closing yet?

It looks like Sony really stocked up.

MS would have supplied what retailers ordered, though they may have choked off supply for certain bundles to try to move others. So for the cheap bundles MS may have said to each retail chain that they only have X of the cheap bundles available, which means if the retailer wanted Y Xb ones and Y>X then the retailer would have to make up the difference with other bundles. That's the problem with having a multi-bundle strategy. I do hope that in 2016 we see both console with cheap bundles of 8th gen games.

They probably overstuffed the channel with the inferior bundles, and the retailers just didn't have room. That's the downside with overstocking. Space costs money.

Retailers put the order in don't they? It would surely rub the retailers up the wrong way if MS dictated what they should have.

Microsoft has a habit of pushing an agenda. Usually cutting a deal if they order a certain amount of X, Y, Z. So most probably did, and then filled the remaining space up with the cheaper bundles. Microsoft has a lot of clout, and it seems they could be flexing it.
