Nintendo’s New Membership Service Is Called “Nintendo Account”

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has confirmed today during the investors presentation that Nintendo new membership service will be title “Nintendo Account” and will connect across many devices.

Nintendo’s new membership service will be called “Nintendo Account” — it will connect hardware users, as well as PC and smart device users, Mr. Kimishima says.

Interesting.

Looking forward to the membership benefits from this.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

So its has to be more than just a membership program.

Ridiculous. It will never catch on.

All they did was give it a name. -_- There is nothing new here.

Nothing really surprising with this, I'm sure most expected it would be like this.. but what I am really wondering is when this will begin and if the system is like Club Nintendo

At least we have some info on it, I guess!

My guess is it will be a true unified account system like Sony and MS has, and if it has any rewards system it will be like PS+ and XBL Gold... with a little Nintendo flair.

My only concern is if it will cost money like the others do.... sadly I think yes.

If it becomes a service I actually want to use and perhaps offers free games, charging isn't the worst thing in the world. Maybe it could be even cheaper than the competitors.
