Forums - Gaming - Why has Fatal Frame to be a Wii U exclusive if it isnt treated that way by Nintendo?

But...you can still play the game, right? I mean, you can't hold the plastic in your hand, and there might not be any bikinis... But the game still plays, and you can enjoy it? I'm not seeing how this is such a big deal. Going digital only probably saved them a ton in manufacturing and shipping costs, which made them able to release the game at all. These seem like the tiniest details ever when held up against playing the game itself.

I'm fine with the cencorship. The main complaints come from no physical edition.

If they can release it physically in Europe and Austrailia, they definitely can in NA.

We can't stop. This madness must end now! You knows what might happen next if we don't do something now, like Nintendo doing a FPS game where at the end you handshake every soldier you've fought at the hospital.

You don't. ... actually believe that story do you? Cos I'm calling bullshit

No, but they did one where squids shoot their ink...

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I feel like a broken record in saying this, but the team came to Ninten first with the idea, 4 and 5 because of the potential he saw in the Wii and Wii U. It was also a joint work between Tecmo and Ninten. Ninten also published them. That's why.

Keeping FFrame 4 Japan only was a mistake, and 5 is a problem because it's digi only and takes out bikinis. I get the digi thing, but the bikinis? Really??

my point is why has it to be exclsuive? Why does Nintendo buy the rights of this franchise if they dont want to support it properly? This is unexcatable. This example shows why Exclsuives can be bad sometimes if the console manufactor does not want to support the game.

This is what I'd like to know as well.  Just seems like a poor business mistake by Nintendo to co-own something just to not fully support it at all (like Sony with the Vita).  It's really great for Nintendo to co-own a great franchise, but bad for the lack of support.  Since that's the case, I just think the money could've been better spent elsewhere.

Yeah, fuck Nintendo for buying a dead franchise, financing it and release almost every one of them in the west, even spinoff !
