lol no.

Nintendo has yet to release a large scale open world game (Xenoblade X or zelda u being the first)

Not only do they abhor large scale online multiplayer, they don't even have the experience to make a large scale open world mmo in time to make momentum for the NX

Ew.

Of course Pokemon will be a killer app for the NX, but I don't necessarily think that means an MMO would happen, or is the way to go...
We have no reason to think that Nintendo would do the concept justice...
But they definitely need an incredible launch lineup...
The Wii U didn't have the best showing and the 3DS was even worse...
Perhaps the reason we're not getting showered with games right now is because they've made launch titles a priority...
I can't say I have enough confidence in Nintendo to actually think that though...
Let's hope they've learned their lesson...

Have a nice day...

Maybe not large scale, but it dosent need to be large scale, it could be in the scale of destiny of a ma of 6 players going around the same world. I havent seen more than 6 players in any world of destiny yet and its consider an MMO. As long as it has a hub where players can gather and see each other would make it good enoufgh.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

destiny also took half a billion to make. Nintendo would not spend anywhere near that much money for one game.

Destiny didn't took half a billion to make. The deal was four games in ten years and half a billion. Don't spread misinformation.

If you're a Pokemon fan you already will be buying one of the NX versions anyway, Pokemon MMORPG or not.

Well theres been nothing to indicate a Pokemon MMO but a cross gen Pokemon RPG is likely with the whole fusion console/handheld concept, not necessarily at launch (if Pokemon Z is real and announced for 3DS). Also I've never known why people argue for a Pokemon MMO over just a traditional game with extensive online components.

Anyway, everything about the fusion makes it sound like it has a chance. The Wii U is one of the worst conceived and supported consoles we've seen, Nintendo don't need to do too much to achieve system capable of 30m sales which IMO would be a success. The only thing that bring worry are its potential launch timing (2016) right in the middle of the PS4's peak. A 2017 launch would be more ideal.
