I haven't modded my wii, but I have used the Twilight Princess Hack

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance


My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

I have not modded my Wii. I do, however, own an R4 for my DS though. And in my defense, I also own 14-15 actual DS games, so it isn't like I just download games for free. I mostly use the R4 for imports that are not sold in America.

 

I was thinking of getting an r4 for media, operating systems, and old nes/snes games. Well I can't decide which one to get r4 or m3. Do you recommend r4? This post isn't about piracy , and it doesn't give links or tell you where to find roms so I think it is okay.

 You  can't play snes games on the R4 so don't get it.

You can't play snes games on the R4 so don't get it.


 I'm sure somebody made an emulator. My friend has an emulator for the psp that plays n64 games. He also has a nes and snes one.

Yes, my Wii is modded. For one reason, i live in Europe.

There is no way in hell i'd wait for Nintendo to wake up and deliver to us PAL gamers.

At the same time i download some games i'd like to try and if i like them i buy them.

And people don't be so hard on piracy, it's half the reason for those hardware sales. Or is it a coincidence that (at least since the PS era) the most easy to pirate console has won? That's the case this gen too, with the very easy to hack Wii going first, the possible but risky to hack 360 (because people are afraid of the RRoD so they don't risk voiding the warranty or getting banned from Live) to lastly the impossible to hack (right now) PS3.

A lot of people would never even buy a console if they couldn't pirate it, accept it. That's the world we live in.

Now if having a modded console makes me a hated person then so be it, at least i'm honest.

I haven't modded my Wii, but I've seriously considered it for imports. I was actually planning to do it pretty soon, but then the Wii Freeloader was announced, so I'm going to grab one of those and see how it works out. If Nintendo ends up blocking the new Freeloader I'll get a modchip then.

I have a R4 card for my DS - not for stolen games, but to play my old beloved LucasArts point&click adventures on DS via ScummVM.

why do people hate other people for modding their systems?

i just dont get it. some people arnt willing to fork out 60+ cash on games. i know im not. if a ps3 got hacked, i would be the first to get mine modded.

i bet you you dl illegal mp3 songs. thats just as bad.
