Forums - Gaming - Prediction: Assassins Creed Syndicate will flop horrible sales whise

It's Ubisoft.

They will never make good games. They'll always give you a buggy, uncompleted, DLC ridden game.

EA does the same.

People always point out these flaws, so it makes you wonder. How do they still sell?

Because of the fact that they're Ubisoft and EA. They fool people, some give them another chance, and others simply don't care.

No debates on it needed. we all know Ubisoft has no reputation with gamers anymore.

A lot of the games these companies make are excellent.  Sorry you are missing out so badly lol!

On Topic: I didn't get Unity because it was obvious to me from the first trailer that it was going to be a half-assed (And the worst) AC.  This one looks better, but I am not at all convinced - and this is coming from someone who owned every single AC until Unity (including the PSP and Vita one).

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

For me, AC's terrible decline in quality and the forgettable watch dogs made me lose respect in the company.

Rayman makes me still have hope in them though. I really enjoy the Rayman series.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I think Syndicate might be the release where the series just crashes and burns. The hype just isn't there, and the game hasn't been promoted for crap either. Unity set up the fall, and this game's gonna be it. I know the general population doesn't necessarily follow what people online think, but this time things just feel off.

All of this is true, which is why I no longer buy games from either.

The franchise is actually not that bad, i found the story to be very interesting. I think people just hating on it becuz it's an yearly game like COD and FIFA.
Now that i think about it, why do people hate these games so much yet it still selling extremely well o_O ???

If 4+ mil is considered a flop sure I guess.

It has not sold 4 million though and is not guaranteed to either.4 million across 3 platforms in sort of a flop though.

Sales data for UK for AC:

[Week 46, 2007] ASSASSIN'S CREED (UBISOFT) - 156,000 / NEW (90%)
[Week 47, 2009] ASSASSIN'S CREED II (UBISOFT) - 175,000 / NEW (90%)
[Week 46, 2010] ASSASSIN'S CREED: BROTHERHOOD (UBISOFT) - 228,500 / NEW (90%)
[Week 46, 2011] ASSASSIN'S CREED: REVELATIONS (UBISOFT) - 238,000 / NEW (90%)
[Week 44, 2012] ASSASSIN'S CREED III (UBISOFT) - 355,000 / NEW (90%)
[Week 44, 2013] ASSASSIN'S CREED IV: BLACK FLAG (UBISOFT) - 128,000 / NEW (90%)
[Week 46, 2014] ASSASSIN'S CREED: UNITY (UBISOFT) - 153,000 / NEW (95%)

And to think there was an article before saying which game will outsell more, AC or Halo 5. I think Halo 5 has it covered across all platforms.

I got burned out after AC 2. Not sure how people suck with it for so long.

It might see a small drop but nothing huge. You have to remember that AC is a yearly franchise and people have kinda just got into the habit of buying them for better or for worse. The general public won't be concerned about development issues or whatever, they see it advertised in store, they see a flashy ad on TV and, in many cases they'll buy it. So don't expect anything crazy to happen sales wise because the underlying Base strength is too strong.
