Serious or absurd, the colour of the device is a very important issue for me...
I hate white devices/appliances (compared to my prefences, I don't dislike it in general), and I'm in love with silver or black, or the best thing for me combination of these two colors.. Black mainly is my compromise if I don't find silver only, or silver-black, my favorite colour though is blue but I have been really obsessed with silver and silver black (in a greater extend)...
Black is elegant, classy, has more aesthetic quality and makes things to look less bulky, white looks a little bit better, not at all on large appliances (as it happens mostly with opaque vs bright colours) especially when is glossy, lustrous black makes the device surfaces seem like a mirror, which doesn't matter so much. Nevertheless, White if get dirty or stained/scratced,it's obvious,and turns into light grey,the finger prints/dust though are not easily distinct as is it on non-matte black( Buy or use your swiffer :P)...
Also the white vs black depends on where you place the product,if it's dark-brown wood e.t.c,then white wins. White combined with black or silver or both or have black or silver details or both is way better, than plain white...
To prove how much I disfavour white devices e.t.c, I can buy a wii u bundle costing 199 euros, with New super mario bros, New super luigi U and Nintendo Land but despite the low price (which is owing to the fact that white wii u had been discontinued since 2013 in the west, because people despite the 50$ dollars difference still preferred the black wii u, premium pack/deluxe set-, which must not be only for the colour though, white wii u were exclusively 8gb and the black ones the 32gb version-ergo the units that remained is a dead stock, that's why the very low price), I don't buy it inspite of my fierce desire about a wii u purchase!
i prefer the Mario kart 8 premium bundle(As a mario kart big lover) which costs 329 dollars(someday could be found for 295-300 euros),ridiculously expensive,not much difference with xbox one cheapest bundles...
However, I can't afford it, hence I'm waiting for a 50 euros discount or price drop, although there was a premium bundle with NSMBU,NSLU & NL for 269 euros(I love mario platformers(more 2d than 3d) equally(perhaps more,I haven't decided) with Mario kart,which was saving you 60 euros,really tempting but it got vanished fast as always with a great deal for wii u in Greece,in christmas that bundle was priced at 199 euros lol,the store that had that deal was flooded by people,something that shocked the staff(and the stock wasn't sufficient but that's must be blamed more to the Nintendo's greek agency), they thought that wii u couldn't cause a situation something like this, but it seems it's able to do it with great deals, I still remember the brawls about that bundle and my mourning for not managing to buy it...
So,what wii u colour do you like more? Black or white? Which did/will you buy?Was/will the colour (be)a factor about you purchase?
