Console price is not the only factor, what if the games were cheaper by $10/£10. I hate the game prices currently.

Not to beat a dead horse,  but prices are historically low. The longest ever generation wasn't even followed by an inflation adjustment.

Also, if digital distribution would improve its pricing, it could radically change the cost for consumers, just look at Steam and how much software it moves yearly.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Sony has started steam like sales recently. I just hate how expensive they are off sale compared to amazon.com.

Nintendo has been doing Steam-like sales for a few years now actually, at least in EU.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

ITT; People who are going to buy the NX regardless of how much it costs, its features or its library. Hardcore Nintendo fans are indeed hardcore. Their numbers do keep getting smaller and smaller and smaller with every generation. I hope none of you folks are expecting third party support if this NX actually has two + form factors that must be developed for.

This is an incomplete list of 3rd party titles for 3DS/Wii U this year and likely a similar type of lineup we can expect for NX if it's a unified setup, niche Japanese titles, kid/family friendly western titles, and indie titles. That plus having all Nintendo published titles in a single ecosystem gives the devices a consistent stream of new releases.

I think its pretty clear that Nintendo intend to use SoC from AMD for both their next handheld and home systems the only uncertain thing I believe is wether it be the ZEN or K12 architectures.

That ... Is a pretty sad list.

monster hunter 4 ultimate is the only worthwhile third party title.

How the hell can you say that when the list has The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure in it...? Are you for real or am  missing some kind of inside joke?

Why people acting like Wii does not exist if it was just light in a bottle!?

Actually I think this two + form factors will more attractive for third party developers because in same time they can develop one game for handheld and home console and just one device. They will certainly not must to develop for more devices, they can develop just for device if they want. With all Nintendo plans regardless NX, NX will have much better third party support than Wii U (which frankly is not so difficult to achieve).

Ugh. I think that's about all I can muster at this point. Would it not be prudent to just, you know, wait a little while to discuss this rather than bombardment on speculation all the time? There's plenty of other things to discuss on this forum and in gaming right now so I'm honestly not sure why threads like this garner so much traction and others struggle. I know it's probably already been said but I don't do NX threads so, yeah.

But in fairness I'd be amazed if they were only just sent out. You'd hope if the console comes out next year, they'd have more time to work on a game than one year. Then again, I'm no expert so maybe this is the norm. Doesn't affect me until it actually comes out.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
