Again, NX is about combining handheld and console. Combine 3DS and Wii U first party libraries and you can have an ideo of what NX is. Third parties doesn't matter a lot. NX is 2016 and everything about the theory of Fusion is becoming reality. Just accept it and move one.

Monster Hunter and Youkai Watch aren't important?  It would be interesting to see Nintendo tell third-party developers and publishers that they have Fusion now and don't need anyone else.  That would be quite interesting.

Western. DQXI & FFXIV are already announced for NX. And, where else are they going to develop MH or YW? Vita? Come on.

Hey, don't blame me if you meant to say western developers only.  That's your fault.

I hope the industry leading chips part is true. Although this can mean that it would be based on current or near future CPU's and GPU's (any configuration) or market leader. So not necessarily the most powerful.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I just don't get it, isn't FFXIV a 2013  game? What kind of audience they are aiming for with this? FF XV would make more sense

$349.99 for console + portable together would not be bad IMO, remember this is basically like getting two Nintendo systems together.

Remember even the GameCube + GBA cost $300 at launch, that's roughly $400+ accounting for inflation.

If you bought the Wii U and 3DS, you likely paid $500 or more.

They could sell just the portable component seperately for people who just want that for cheaper.

No, it's actually Nintendo's fault in the first place to lose western support, but that's another story.

I'm more with 399.99.

My initial thoughts

- So the hybrid concept was basically true? Maybe 1.2 TFLOP console + 300 TFLOP portable that can share games and combine together at home for 1.5 TFLOP+ at 14/16nm? Something like that? This is likely going to have to be $299.99 minimum at launch.

- We should be getting some leaks now that kits are out in the wild.

tbh I'd be pleased with this, as it falls in line with my expectation.

But how does that coincide with "Nintendo would aim to put industry-leading chips in the NX devices, after criticism that the Wii U’s capabilities didn’t match those of competitors." which, especially with that underlined qualifier, suggests Nintendo will aim to be much more aggressive in that regard.  You think this is unneccesary article filler or is there some truth in it?  And wouldn't that mean something more powerful than PS4 etc?

"Industry leading" could mean they are using 14/16nm tech (relatively new) maybe even HBM2 RAM or something, and 1.5 TFLOP or so would be virtually indistinguishable from their competition so that would fit with that quote. Hopefully we'll find out soon via leaks for sure.
