Personally, i think it's great. One of the best in the franchise IMHO!

When you pick up a blueprint, and restart the checkpoint before getting to a different place, you'll restart without the blueprint but also you won't be able to pick it up anymore; the game registers you taking it but never shows up in your statistics or R&D development, effectively forbidding you of getting 100% and the trophy of getting every item.

How did it review so high?

I skipped the reviews to avoid all spoilers.  I didn't want to know anything coming into this game.  I didn't even watch trailers!

There is a video (that I also didn't watch) from Greg Miller stating why he thinks MGSV deserved a 10/10.  I might have to watch that.

I suspect that a lot of reviewers didn't actually play the game that long before turning their scores, though.

I kept running away from it with my metal walker buddy. Helicopter kept firing it. Tried with tanks. But I got bored. I could have beat it but I felt bored.

Completely agree. Game basically sucked. Easily worst MGS game and not even close to GOTY.

I disagree with this post. mgs5 is my personal game of the year so far. The only thing I don't care for is the online. I'm only half way through the main story. I highly enjoy doing the side stuff. Sure it's the same missions,but they give you so many weapons to play around with,that I don't get bored with them at all.
