U don't think it will work well? As in sales or working on a 3ds? If it's the former I'm very confident that it would easily be a 2.5mil+ seller. As for the latter, I'm assuming of it were on it. I get wat u mean though. Than how bout NX :p
As for FF, is it really as big anymore? I mean I know it's big but how much is FFXV going to sell. I argue other franchises are bigger. Like 2d mario/ssb/mk/etc

I mean that Splatoon wouldn't work well on the 3DS, and as a result, had Splatoon been a 3DS title it hadn't done as well because it probably wouldn't feel very fun to play really.
FF is big. You're saying Splatoon could sell x amount on handhelds, imagine what Final Fantasy could sell on them. However Square Enix wants to keep the Japanese home console scene alive, and they want western sales (which FF gets a lot of). I doubt an FF on the 3DS would do as much globally as FF on home consoles does. It would do a lot more in Japan only though. If Final Fantasy however did release on handhelds, it would outsell Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., and 2D Mario. Final Fantasy is a bigger franchise in Japan than all those three, despite them selling more on the 3DS than Final Fantasy did on the PS3 or will sell on the PS4, if you understand what I mean.
