I think it would actually be a bad idea to just drop the game on us like that. I also think it's more likely that we get a release date at PGW like Tidux said.

Here are my outside chance options:

No Man's Sky gets announced and launches immediately
No Man's Sky gets announced and as a Novembers PS+ title
No Man's Sky gets announced and launches in November as a $300 PS4 Bundle.

It could be none of the above but I feel as if something big is coming.

quite possible. imo the most probable. would've a huge impact with sony having PGW stage all for themselves, pushing ps+ subscriptions and hardware sales... if this is even possible. time will tell.

You guys can not be serious. You really think No Man's Sky is going to be a PS+ title? Lol...

That game is going to sell shit tons by it self, why do you think they would ever allow it to be a PS+ title?

It needs to be properly marketed before it's release so I don't think it's releasing that soon. Maybe later this year and with a possible bundle. I think it more likely release early next year.

If NMS does release the day of PGW I think it'd be fine. There has been so much promotion for this game. Social media, online advertisements, PS Store would inform enough gamers the day of.

Why do you think that? It's a new IP. I think it will sell fairly well but if it lives up to people hope it will be, it will sell phenomenally well.

Nah can't say I see it. The game is too small and we've had far too little information in the past few weeks for it to make any sense at all to release it now. This game can be big (in a physical sense, noone is saying the game world isn't reasonably sizable), but to do that it needs to be marketed well and a surprise announcement ain't that.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
