If it's action oriented, please be like 4, or at least like 5, cause 6 was pure garbage, even as an action game...

Some people would say 5,6 and the movies, but I like the movies.

Well I'm looking forward to this as long as they keep co-op, but allow 2nd player to get in on the action again (unlike RE Revelations 2).

I thought re 5 was actually a great one, however, re 6 was really bad.... hopefully they never do re in that style again.

I was going to post this yesterday but I was busy. I think RE7 is going to be great and I have been very vocal about RE7 in the past and have written a number of threads and articles on the subject around the web (including here).

There are no words of how excited I am for this game. RE7 has been in development for at least 4 years that we know of and it has the potential of being one of the best entries in the series along with RE4. It's essential that if they return the series to it's roots with real survivor horror elements, but it also MUST continue its deep on going story. On the bright side Capcom is at the perfect point canon wise to do this! The Revelation games are also huge step toward reviving the horror roots of the series.

The problem is fitting characters like Jake into this route is going to be a HUGE issue, if not impossible. They at least have a phenomenal selection of characters that perfectly fit with the horror atmosphere. Jill, Rebecca, Claire, Sherry, Moira, and especially Natalia are all great candidates for this. Even Chris can perfectly be set in a horror environment that make sense. The only one that is to far gone is Leon. He's way to trained and his mental state of mind is too strong. They would literally need to break the canon or make him fall and hit his head (like Chris) to make this work. Then again we probably won't see Leon again until RE8 anyways thanks to the odd/even dual storyline.

I VERY pissed about the Devil May Cry news. Those games are great and DmC was fantastic, if not one of the best entries in the series. They have something so good going on for them.
As for Re7... It's an odd numbered title so perhaps we'll being seeing Wesker. Bring it you cheap ass dirty little bitch! The whole gang is waiting for you bang your ass to the ground! xD

After playing RE5 and 6, I'm not sure if I can be excited for this one... : / Hopefully Capcom can turn that around this time...

Have you played most of the games? RE5 was a great game in itself. It was not a horror game but... given the antagonist... you kind of needed to expect action for plot reasons.

The Revelation games are fantastic. I recommend those as they are great survival horror games that retain the feel of modern RE games. The classic atmosphere with the updated gameplay. Revelations 2 is the best game in the series since RE4 and as a faithful long time fan of the series. It might be my personal favorite. The story is phenomenal, but did require knowledge of the lore and the atmosphere was great. No enemies drop ammo, you had to scavenge for every last bullet!
