Ya but at the same time I also don't consider it "huge news" to announce a game everybody knows is coming and have predicting to be announced all year.

I think people are more so talking about the mobile game/DeNA thing mainly becuase they are very curious how Nintendo is going to go about it. And as for the membership program I have to imagine it's becuase it could give us the unified account system that's been asked for since like 2012.
But I do hope that people are wanting to hear about new games/new info on announced games moreso.
Wish I would have seen this thread before I made mine.
It almost directly relates to what I was saying we need from Nintendo right now. Something, news, releases, future... Anything.
A direct would be very welcome.

It will more than likely be about the first DeNA/Nintendo game since there was another story about news on that coming soon. Though that doesn't discount it being a part of a Nintendo direct.
Wii U needs a new game focused Direct, to announce what they're definitely delivering for the system in 2016.
New titles that haven't been announced before, details, gameplay and a solid release date for Zelda U, what's up with Pikmin 4, don't bother detracting from it with 3DS announcements (leave that for a separate Direct).
They need to basically act like NX isn't happening until they're ready to give any proper details on what it actually is.
Wii U's library and reasons why people should still buy it is what Nintendo needs to focus on. A price cut below $250, even down to $229 would be something, bundled with a couple of games for the holidays would help to give the system a little boost.
It'll be their first mobile game I bet. I'd go absolutely nuts if they gave us another Zelda trailer too. Maybe Pikmin 4 as well?
The thing I'm actually still waiting for is DQ8 for the 3DS. Really desperate for that.
Actually, he did say 9/10 hype. I think that probably rules out Pikmin or DQ8.
I expect nothing good from Nintendo. Probably mobile shit and another round of Smash and Amiibo news.
