They will make Flinstones-like vehicles, so that they could make something explode XD

If this game is like Blood Dragon then the Assassin's Creed comparison does not fit.
Blood Dragon was completely unrelated to the main Far Cry games both in story and in tone. It was a way to get more Far Cry style gameplay in a different environment without worrying overmuch about a complicated plot and all the filler material in standard FC titles. As a cheaper stand-alone title, it was excellent. Actually taking bases was more fun than in the mainline games.
I have zero problems if every numbered Far Cry is followed by one or two Blood Dragon type games. They can be developed faster and cheaper and they can focus on game-play.

Edit: Ah nevermind the other topic has covered the update

The game isn't releasing anytime soon, holiday 2016 is the most obvious bet which will make 2 years between the releases. Whats wrong with that? |
It will release February 2016. Far Cry 4 released when? In November 2014?
This means the difference between both is only 1 year and 4 months...
This would be really fun... I think I want this.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

FC3 was my favourite game of 2012, FC3BD was my favourite of 2013, but FC4 left me really cold due to it's massive amount of recycling of stuff from the prior two. Don't get me wrong it was still really good but I tend to enjoy FC more when there's a massive shift in tone. This could be exactly what they need to keep the series fresh. |
I hope it does not change to much, the formula of FC3 and 4 were amazing

Agreed, Blood Dragon was awesome

When they make a bad game then you can complain. Every Far Cry has been awesome (besides part 1 which was good)

FC1 and rest of FarCry games really have only name in common (Crysis 1 is true successor to FC1, though nowhere as good)...well, scout/tag/plan/execute is pretty much the same I guess.
I remember when first FC realeased, it was so different than standard FPS affairs of that time, and to this day it still is - not an open world game, but one with wide levels where you can choose how you will approach you goals. Also with great AI, especially on harder difficulties.
It's still one of my favourite FPS games, and honestly, I would love to see anyone (considering Crytek went pretty much to shit) trying to make something similar.
