Forums - Nintendo - As much as I like how SMT x FE has turned out, Nintendo should've just paid Atlus to put out a new Trauma Center.

You wouldn't believe the kinds of mind tricks I've had to do to get to this point.

"Think of it as the Kingdom Hearts of SMT and FE, Spem."

"#FE will make a nice contrast to P5, Spem."

"It's as much an SMT game as Persona is, Spem."

"It's better to get a completely original IP, Spem."

"SMTV will still happen, Spem."

And recently,

"You can use SMT4f to cleans your pallet, Spem. Fucking Finally."

Can't wait for #FE.

Can't believe it.

This is some scary mental gymnastics you've gotten yourself into.

Just accept that it'll be a disappointment, just like everything else within a year of getting into a franchise you actually really liked.

I tell myself it will be bad (and I' m not a fan of what we know about the game at this point), so I won't be disappointed when it comes out. On the other hand I know P5 will be awesome and am hyped as hell...

But if SMTxFE is indeed bad, at least I won't have to buy a Wii U so.... Blessing in disguise?

Another game I have never picked on Wii because it has always been cheap I thought it was bad.

Switch!!!

But are you guys sure about Trauma center being a good choice because the gamepad? You want another game that makes you do everything in the little screen while the TV is there just because? Cause I´m not really against that, but look at Kirby RC, the game has been widely ignored for that reason, even being a pretty good game for what I´ve seen.

trauma center: xray technician edition

imagine the possibilities!

Would love another Trauma Center game; would be cheap and they could add some new mechanics with the gamepad.

But alas the low sales halted the franchise, plus Trauma Team never went to PAL territories.

It's called the Diagnostician, a.k.a. Totally Not Dr. House, and it was pretty cool thank you very much.

From your poll, yes Nintendo should have bought ATLUS. Its dramatic that an incompetent publisher like SEGA ended up getting them.

As for SMTxFE, i actually don't like how it turned out if i'm honest. It looks like a simplistic game aimed at female audiences.
I would've prefered a Fire emblem game with SMT guest characters. But well... it was a weird pairing to begin with.

Haven't played Trauma Center to be honest, but I have a lot more interest in TC than I do in SMT x FE. I have only played SMT IV but I have no desire to play another. FE is a good franchise but the game looks more like SMT with FE as the monsters/demons or whatever you want to call them.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Well, stylus controls when you play it on the GamePad and pointer controls when you play it on TV. The Trauma Center games had some of the best controls on the Wii.

But the series probably didn't survive the last operation...

If given the option I'd choose the Wii-mote where possible because the controls were fun and intuitive, plus the game can get intense and I'd probably scratch up the gamepad on some harder operations.

Co-op with the gamepad and wiimote together could also be something novel.

They could at least release the wii trauma centers on WiiU.
